One of the
most beautiful and cosmopolitan cities in the world, with
a flourishing early music scene, Sydney in mid-summer provides
the ideal setting for the sixth Tallis Scholars Summer School
in Australia.
Tutors for 2012 are: Peter Phillips, Janet Coxwell
and Deborah Roberts, plus Warren Trevelyan-Jones.
Activities include choral rehearsals,
sung services, talks and workshops, small groups and tutor
projects. The course culminates in a Gala Concert by TSSS
participants, directed by Peter Phillips.
The theme for TSSS 2012 will be The music of Palestrina & Lassus.
This will include Palestrina's Missa Papae Marcelli and movements from the Propetiae Sibyllarum by Lassus.
